What is the difference for the cationic polyacrylamide with different molecular weight and degree of ion?

1, the ion degree is the charge density, it is calculated  according to  the additive amount of cationic monomer .

2, molecular weight is the length of molecular chain, the molecular size affect the actual performance.

3, the degree of ions directly influences the compactness of the floc, of course,it is  not to say that the higher of  degree of ion,the bigger and tighter of the  the floc . we have to do  selection test according to the water samples, and then test on the machine after finishing the selection test .we can only determine the optimum model  combined with the dewatering  equipment .

4, for cationic polyacrylamide, after determining the ionic degrees ,the molecularweight has a direct influence on the dewatering result and quantity,  Of course, it is not to say that the higher of the molecular ,the better of the performance we need to adjust according to the dewatering equipment, such as belt dewatering  machine, if the molecular weight is too higher  may directly causing the filter cloth blocked, affecting the dewatering result. For the centrifuge machine, the flocs will directly be scattered if the molecular is too lower.

In conclusion, molecular weight and degree of ions is the key factors affecting the  using result of the polyacrylamide, of course, molecular weight and degree of ions are directly determines the price of polyacrylamide.
